Globalist Review of Atlanta’s Grand Hyatt – Buckhead Hotel
Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood is a quiet, upscale area with many dining, entertainment, and nightlife options. If you’re looking for a relaxing and serene place to stay, the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead is a great option. Only a five minute walk from the Buckhead MARTA Station, it can be a convenient place to stay even without a vehicle.

There are several Hyatt properties to choose from in the Atlanta area, but if you’re a Globalist, the Grand Hyatt – Buckhead is the best option. It is the only Hyatt property in Atlanta with a club, which in my opinion, is one of the best benefits of having Globalist status.
We arrived at the Grand Hyatt – Buckhead early in the afternoon on a Friday evening. Early check-in is another benefit of Globalist status, so we knew our room would be ready. Upon checking in at the Registration Desk, we were informed that a free suite upgrade was available if we were willing to wait until the current guests in the room checked out at 4PM. We were offered free food and drinks at the hotel’s bar and restaurant, The Fabled, while we waited. We were more than happy to take advantage of this offer, and headed to the bar for some snacks.

The Fabled is located right off of the hotel lobby and features beautiful views of a waterfall. We ordered the Tom Collins, Spicy Crispy Cauliflower Bites, and the Zen Garden Bowl and all were delicious. After enjoying our meal, we still had some time to kill, so we decided to set out and explore the neighborhood for a while.
We returned to the hotel around 5PM and checked with the front desk to see if our room was ready. It wasn’t, and the representative was very apologetic and offered us more free drinks at The Fabled while housekeeping finished up. We accepted their offer, and enjoyed two more delicious drinks. After 15 minutes or so, we were notified that our room was ready. Even though we had to wait, we were thrilled with the generosity provided to us for our patience.
Our room was a Grand Suite on the 8th floor featuring a living room and separate bedroom. The best feature was a large balcony with a nice seating area. The bathroom was spacious and featured a large shower. The room had a mini-fridge and Nespresso machine as well. The only thing missing, in our opinion, was a separate sink near the bar in the living room – the only sink was in the bathroom.

Breakfast is free for Globalists in the club. The club itself has been recently remodeled and features comfortable seating and a large television. The club is open 24 hours a day and is accessible with your room key. The breakfast offerings were slim, typically featuring scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, a selection of bread and bagels, fresh fruit, cheeses, and smoked meats. We’ve definitely experienced better Globalist breakfasts (shoutout to the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile and Hyatt Regency Chicago!), but we were always able to find something to eat. The breakfast attendants in the club were incredibly friendly and accomodating to our needs.

Appetizers are also available in the club each evening from 5-8PM. The selection varied daily, but in general there was a selection of charcuterie options, cold grilled vegetables, and a few hot selections. Soda, water, and juices were always available. At other times of the day, a selection of snacks including cookies, chips, granola bars, and yogurt were available.
A suprising Globalist benefit was free access to the hotel’s driver. The hotel has a driver on staff to transport guests anywhere within a two mile radius, daily from around noon to midnight. We utilized this service Saturday evening and were thilled with the service. Our driver was friendly and gave us great tips and advice about where to eat and local entertainment options. I highly suggest taking advantage of this service!
Even though the hotel was busy with several conventions on site during this weekend, the atmosphere remained peaceful yet lively. The Grand Hyatt – Buckhead has quite a few lovely outdoor public areas including a Japanese Zen Garden, patio with fire pits, and pool area.

There is also a well-equipped gym on site, featuring a sauna, Peloton bikes, free weights, and treadmills. Locker rooms are available.
We very much enjoyed our long weekend at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. As Globalists, we felt like we were valued and appreciated guests. We enjoyed the many Globalist amenities and can’t wait to return in the future!
‘Till next time,
